Its not uncommon for many Indian mothers taking a break from their careers to take care of their children. Some manage to get back to their careers or build alternate careers. The others just stay back at home with the kids. Most people tag them as Laid Back, Easy Going or even just plain Lazy. "Come on. They just have to cook and clean and their job is done. What do they have to crib about?", some say. Some others add, "The older generation managed more than 4 kids at the same time. Today's women are too lazy". There are others who are a little more sympathetic. "Almost everything is readily available. She can manage with that."

What many don't realize is its not easy. Every mom wants to be the best mom in the world. She wants her child to know that she will always be there for him/her. She wants to raise her child such that her child becomes the model child. When her child comes into her life, that child becomes her priority number 1. But she wants her home and husband too. The career can wait.
